hi seamless friends,
I have uploaded 2.086 before the script interface is ready because I recently discovered at least the last version has had a bug creep in that causes it to output a TimeSensor's children field as descendents It should only output the time sensor's children as siblings otherwise it is illegal for VRML so this is the bug that has been fixed urgently.
Another bug found by Griff a few days ago where the triangles in the 3d window would vanish when the rotation buttons were rotated continuously has been fixed.
Many thanks to griff for reporting this bug.
2.086 has had some changes made to the scene tree window. None of the changes should throw anyone I would think. The main change is that you don't have to click the selected node a second time in order to modify a node's DEF name because the text for any line is always ready to be modified. This makes the scene tree interface behave in a more free manor, like a text editor which is more suitable for writing scripts. Also more like a text editor it is now also possible to be able to select the next or previous node in the scene tree using the up and down arrow keys which I like a lot. Because of the new changes I have made it so that the user can double click on the selected node's icon to open node's control panel if that window is closed. Hopefully this is intuitive ( if it fails to do what you want try double clicking). Selecting a different node in the scene tree will always cause the new selected node's control panel to open too, like it always has.
I have changed the scene tree's font to courier and to a bigger size which seems to be the standard for editing code in a text editor.
I really would like to write a robot to test out my tutorials for each version but until I write one, the reporting by any seamless user of any odd behaviour noticed in the scene tree window would be much appreciated especially at a critical time like now.
I have tested this version's scene tree window by doing most of the build an av tutorial tutorial but because I wanted to get this version uploaded with the output TimeSensor bug fixed as soon as possible and because I have rewritten a lot of the code for the editing of the scene tree window I have been a little rushed to check things over so I would not be surprised if there are some unknown bugs added but hopefully less serious than the output bug but if I do find a bad bug I will update soon as possible. I should be updating soon anyway because the script interface should soon be ready for demonstration
