Hi Seamless friends
Seamless 2.064 is ready for download from:
www4.tpg.com.au/users/gperrett/seamless3d/index.html
This version has had many features added and some code improved behind the scenes but should be stable as its been tested by myself using it for quite a few days
New features added:
Import animation allows seamless to import any time sensors and the nodes they contain in the children field. ROUTEs will be imported but names must match to the destination nodes.
ECLathe: This node is an elliptical curved lathe much like a CCLathe (circular curved lathe) but can be controlled by elliptical control points. Anyone who has had experience with a CCLathe and a ECScale should find the new ECLathe straight forward enough.
ECSyncBend: This is like a ECLathe except it curves only in the Z and Y dimension. Like the ECLathe the Stem can be synchronised to it too.
ECShift: This uses a elliptical control line to create a curve to be added to vertices.
Thinking about the idea of adding a MovePivotPoint node I decided to instead make the CenterJoint node work when numOf vertices is set to zero. This seems to me now a logical feature to add to this node because the CenterJoint node was used for moving the center of a joint (moving a part's pivot point (as opposed to moving a part)) but was limited to only being able to accomplish this by specifying a numOf vertices for it to base the pivot point from. When numOf is zero the translation works the same to move the pivot point as it always has but is offset from where ever the part is originally cantered.
Inlines load nodes into the 3d window
Instances of Proto's can now be DEFed and USEed in the scene tree like any other node
I hope to write some simple examples and or some tutorials for the new features added soon.
best wishes
