Recently in using seamless to write the new tutorial for colouring vertices I discovered I was missing the paste in colour to a vertex
button because I never added one lol so I have added it to this version 2.075
In writing this tutorial I also came across a bug that left me quite puzzled as to how this bug could have existed without me noticing after all this time because I found it exists in well over 10 versions back. But the good news is from finding this bug I think I have finally solved the mystery on the chapter to why trebeler miranda and dajamma reported a bug related to node names loosing there text some weeks ago. It was quite a mystery to me because it did not exist for me and other seamless users. Most bugs are found and fixed the same way the squeaky wheel gets oiled. I can now see this bug will still exist in other places in versions earlier than 2.075. My guess is I have updated some component for internet explorer that changed the rules so that I now have a computer that behaves the same way it does for people who had the bug. A lot of windows API functions are connected to Internet Explorer so updating IE can change the behaviour of programs that you would not think have any connection to IE. The mystery revolved around the fact that my code would ask for text from a windows text cell and would specify the text was zero characters in length but this would not stop windows giving me the full string. Now the rules are more definite so that when you ask for zero characters you get zero characters, bugs squeak earlier. I guess this is related to Microsoft tightening security by making behaviour more definite.
I wonder if there are now other programs suffering like older versions of seamless but can not be updated? I wonder if any this is related to a old win 3.1 version I have of paint shop pro crashing unexpectedly in recent days.
I have also fixed a different unrelated bug I mentioned back in the post "Avatar from Immediate Spheres and Cylinders" dated 16th of jan which could cause any Immediate window to close down when modifying one of the controls but most of the time this would not occur but its a good feeling its now understood and fixed.
