hi seamless friends
Thanks to some of the issues barphe raised I have made a number of improvements to the scene tree window.
When the scene tree window is closed and reopened it will open where it was last closed same as the control panel.
The scene tree window can now be resized.
The scene tree window scroll bar now supports page down and page up features using either mouse or keyboard. Scrolling just one line up or down can now be done too using arrow down and arrow up from the keyboard or by clicking on the up down buttons in the scroll bar.
I found a bug in the scene tree's programmable background color feature when deleting a node which has been fixed but because I have had not enough time on this feature yet I expect there to be still bugs in regard to the colors moving to neighbouring nodes so please let me know if you have isolated when this happens.
I have made it so a Part's rotiation field can be modified by holding down shift and right dragging. A Part's translation field can be controlled much the same too by left dragging with shift down.
This simple little feature should make seamless very easy for anyone to build a world by arranging imported Shape/IndexedFaceSet into part nodes.
I never mentioned this before so mentioning here that 2.051 introduced the new ECScale node. (Elliptical Curve Scale) This node has a 2d control line (in the 3d window) to control the curve simular to how splines are typically controlled but because the curves can only be made of legal elliptical curves there are limits in how the control points can be dragged. This I see as an advantage because this should guide the user to make more curvy shapes. I can see that though this node is much more intuitive than the CC (circular curve) nodes it will take some practice to fully understand how to use it well.
I will show how versatile this node can be to form complex smooth shapes in the continuation of the Build an Avatar Tutorial which will be soon.
wishing everyone a seamless experiance
