Hi Seamless Friends I thought you might like to see my latest adventure into seamless. It is a world with just one tree called the Lonely Tree. I made all the parts using Seamless3d and just did some hand coding to put them all together, add lighting, reflections, etc. For the tree I used BranchJoin nodes (thyme's tutorial "Build An Avatar" explains how to use these) to join the branches onto the trunk (kind of an obvious use for BranchJoin nodes hehe ) and the sine tug and radial tug nodes to shape the trunk. Hi Bumpy thanks for sharing your great work ;D That must have taken some time making a tree trunk to look like that. No hint of a polygon in the trunk on my computer and no one could tell it was made using circular curves it looks so organic Its a great example of how powerful SineTugs and RadialTugs are for adding complex natural looking smooth curves. I want to write about how SineTugs can be used in my new build an avatar tutorial soon. Currently I am working on a visual aid for the next version of seamless to help the user see the direction, radius and decay for SineTug and RadialTug nodes. I have recently experienced spaghetti being very helpful for CCScale nodes so hope this new visual clue will be as successful in assisting the user with tug nodes. As you can see I moved your topic to a dedicated board Thought it's about time I added a board like this so anyone can now start their own thread under the one category of seamless art. best wishes thyme

Hi bumpy! Nice tree, I specially like the branches and the leaves, is not easy to model a tree to look the natural pattern of distribution of leaves. I also like the reflection of the moon in the water, nice effect. Continue doing good works like this. Jordi.
